Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), formerly known as Madras Refineries Limited (MRL) was formed as a joint venture in 1965 between the Government of India (GOI), AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) having a share holding in the ratio 74%: 13%: 13% respectively. Originally ,CPCL Refinery was set up with an installed capacity of 2.5 Million Tones Per Annum (MMTPA) in a record time of 27 months at a cost of Rs. 43 crore without any time or cost overrun.

CPCL Selection Process will be based on percentage of marks scored by the candidates in their respective ITI trades / Degree.

Eligibility : –

• Fitter – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Fitter) course. 18 to 24 years
• Welder – Passed 8th class examination from a recognised school and ITI (Welder) course.
• Electrician – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Electrician) course
• Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Mechanic Motor Vehicle) course.
• Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance) course.
• Machinist – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Machinist) course
• Turner – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Turner) course.
• Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronic) course.
• Instrument Mechanic – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Instrument Mechanic) course.
• Mechanic Repair and Maintenance of Vehicle – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Mechanic Repair and Maintenance of Heavy Vehicle) course.
• Draughtsman (Civil) – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Draughtsman (Civil)) course.
• Draughtsman (Mechanical) – Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Draughtsman (Mechanical) course.
• Computer Operator and Programming Assistant – Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) course.
• Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) & Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – Passed B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.
• Advanced Attendant Operator (Process) – Passed B.Sc. with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory and Mathematics as desirable subject.
• Accountant – Passed B.Com.
• Back Office Assistant – Passed any Graduation.
• Executive (Marketing) – MBA (Marketing) / Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (2 years full time Course)
• Executive (Human Resource) – MBA (HR) / MSW / Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management / Personnel Management & Industrial Relation (2 years full time Course)
• Executive (Computer Science) – MCA (3 years full time Course)
• Executive (Finance & Accounts) – CA/ICWA/ MFC / MBA (Finance & Accounts) / Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management.
• Office Assistant – Passed 12th class examination and candidate should possess Skill Certificate of “Office Assistant”
• Warehouse Executive – Passed 12th class examination and candidate should possess Skill Certificate of “Warehouse Executive.
