Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) was established on 1 May 1960 with formation of Gujarat state. From a beginning of 7 divisions, 76 depots and 7 divisional workshops ; it has gone to 16 divisions, 126 depots, 226 bus stations, 1,554 pick up stands and 7,467 buses.

Account officer – 2nd class Postgraduate Degree in Commerce. Or Graduate in Accountancy.
Divisional statistical Officer – Statistical or Commerce or Mathematics Degree from the recognized university. Or Computer Science/ DCA from the recognized university.
Security Officer – 2nd class Degree from the recognized university.
Asst. Store Officer – A second class degree from recognized university or a first-class diploma in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Production Eng.
Divisional Mechanic Engineer – A second Class degree in mechanical/ automobile/ production recognized university or first class diploma.
Divisional Traffic Officer – Graduate in Science / Technology / Commons / Law Degree or standard degree of degree or second class degree from a recognized university.
Divisional Transport Superintendent (DTS) / Depot Manager A (class-2 old) – Second class Bachelor’s Degree Or the valid Yunnan. / BBA of the organization / BMB / Or M.L.B./M.S.D.U. Degree or Approved Yunnan /Polytechnic or Diploma in Automobile/ Mechanical / Industrial / Production Eng. from recognized University.
Divisional Mechanical Supervisor (DWS) / Depot Manager A (Mechanique) / (Class-2 Old). – A second class degree from a recognized university or a first-class diploma in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Production Eng.
Asst.Account officer – A second class graduate degree in commerce with Navy. Or Inter CWA or Graduate in Accountancy.
