The Dairy Development Department was established in Tamil Nadu in the year 1958 to oversee and regulate milk production and commercial distribution in the state. The Dairy Development Department took over control of the milk cooperatives. It was replaced by the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited in the year 1981. On February 1, 1981, the commercial activities of the cooperative were handed over to Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited which sold milk and milk products under the trademark “aavin”. Tamil Nadu is one of the leading states in India in milk production with about 14.5 million liters per day.

Eligibility : –

• Manager (P&I) – Degree in Vety Science from a recognized University and registered with Vety. Council.
• Manager (Engg) – Degree in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication Auto Mobile / Mechanical Engg. from a recognized University .
• Manager (Mktg) – Degree with MBA from recognized university / Institution (or)any degree and two years Post Graduate Diploma from a recognized University / Institution.
• DM (Mktg.,) – Degree and M.B.A. from recognized universities./ any degree and 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in recognized universities/ Institution
• DM(Dairy) – Degree with IDD/NDD or Post Graduate Degree in Dairy Science / Dairying or B.Tech in Food Technology/ Dairy Technology / Food Processing from approved institutions.
• DM (DC) – Post Graduate Degree in Dairy Science / Dairy Chemistry / Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry / Bio –Tech/ Quality Control
• E.O. Gr-II – Graduate in any discipline and Co-op. Training. Exemption for holders of degree in B.A. (Co-op.) / B.com (Co-op.) from passing Co-operative Training.
• Jr.Exe. (O) – Graduate in any discipline and pass in Co-operative Training as detailed in Rc. No.51928/2013/SF2 dated 18.07.2013 of the Registrar of Cooperative societies, Chennai. Exemption for holders of degree in B.A. (Co-op) or B.Com (Co-op) from passing Cooperative Training.
• Driver – 8th and Must be in possession of Valid Driving License to drive Heavy Vehicles.
• Tech (Boiler) – 8th, Must possess Boiler Attendant Certificate Gr-II/Gr.III issued by the Director if Boiler , Chennai to operate boilers as per the norms prescribed by the authority.
