Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) was established by an Act of Parliament in 1959. The institute was started in December 1959 in a room in the canteen building of the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute at Agricultural Gardens in Kanpur. In 1963, the institute moved to its present location, on the Grand Trunk Road near the locality of Kalyanpur in Kanpur district.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) has released notification for filling up 95 vacancies for the post of Junior Assistant, Deputy Registrar, Junior Technician & Various Posts.

IIT Kanpur Selection Process will be based on written exam, skill test & interview.

Eligibility : –

• Deputy Registrar – Master degree with 55% marks or its equivalent with 5 years experience.
• Assistant Registrar (P K Kelkar Central Library) – Master degree with 55% marks or its equivalent with consistent good academic record.
• Assistant Registrar – Master degree with 55% marks or its equivalent with consistent good academic record.
• Hindi Officer – Master degree with 55% marks or its equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at thedegree level and 5 years experience in relevant field.
• Student’s Counselor – M.Phil in clinical psychology or M.A clinical psychology and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Junior Technical Superintendent (Translation) – Master degree or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level with 1 year relevant experience or bachelor degree with Hindi with 3 years experience of translation work.
• Junior Technical Superintendent – M.Sc/B.Tech/B.E in respective discipline as specified for different departments with 2 years relevant experience or diploma in respective discipline with 3 years relevant experience.
• Junior Superintendent (Centre For Nano Sciences) – M.Sc with 5 years relevant experience or B.Sc with 7 years relevant experience.
• Junior Superintendent – Master degree with 5 years relevant experience or bachelor degree with 7 years relevant experience.
• Physical Training Instructor – Bachelor degree in physical education with diploma in coaching from reputed institutions and post bachelor degree with 4 years relevant experience or master degree in physical education.
• Junior Technician – Bachelor degree in respective discipline or diploma in engineering of minimum 3 years duration in respective discipline and knowledge of computer applications.
• Junior Assistant – Bachelor degree with knowledge of computer applications.
• Driver Grade-II – Senior secondary 12th pass with driving license with 3 years of driving and maintenance experience or 12th with ITI course and 10 years experience in driving heavy and light vehicles in a govt. establishment. For more details Read Official Notification.
