The Union Cabinet vide its decision dated 1st May 2013, has approved the launch of National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) as a Sub-mission of an over-arching National Health Mission (NHM), with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

• Cook-cum-Caretaker – 12th Standard with Home Science.
• Counselor – Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Social Work Sociology/Psychology with knowledge of Computer.

• Audiometrician – Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) from an RCI recognized Institution.

• MPW – Diploma in Male Health Worker from recognized Institution. Must have registered with HP Paramedical Council.
• Block Programme Manager – MBA in Personal Management/Financial Management Basic Knowledge of Computer.
• Sr. Treatment Supervisor – Bachelor Degree or recognized Sanitary Inspector’s course and Certificate Course Computer Operation with Permanent Two wheeler driving license.
• Radiographer – Diploma in Radiography from recognized Institute.
• Dental Attendant – Matric pass from any recognized Board/Institution.
• Accountant – Graduate in Commerce or MBA (Finance) with knowledge of computer Applications. Preference wil be given to familiarity with AUDIT in any recognized society/Institution.

• Medical Officer (AYUSH) – BAMS + Working experience as MO (Ayush) 3 years and above.
• Medical Officer (Dental) – DBS from institution recognized by DCI, at least two years of working experience in a hospital Institution setup, must be registered with HP State Dental Council.
• Occupational Therapist – Degree/Diploma in Occupational therapy.
• Clinical Psychologist – M.Sc. In Psychology OR applied Psychology and Master of Philosophy in Medical and Social Psychology OR Masters of Philosophy in Mental Health and Social Psychology obtained after completion of full time course of two years which includes supervised clinical training approved by Rehabilitation Council of India.
• Sr. DOPTs Plus TBHIV Supervisor – Graduate/Certificate course in computer operation (minimum two months) and Permanent two wheeler driving license & should be able to drive two wheeler.
• Sr. TB Laboratory Supervisor (STLS) – Graduate/Diploma in certified course in Medical Technology or equivalent from a Govt. recognized institution.
• RBSK Manager – Master in Disability Rehabilitation Administration (MRDA) approved by Rehabilitation Council of India OR PG Degree /Diploma in Hospital/Health Management from recognized/reputed Institution with 1 year relevant experience from diploma holder OR MBA degree from recognized Institution with 2 years experience in Hospital/Health Program.
• ANM – One and half year Training Certificates Female Health Worker from a Govt. Recognized Institution.
• Counselor – Graduation in home Science or Graduate in Nutrition/Dietetics.
• Dental Hygienist – Dental Hygienist Diploma recognized by DCI.
• Dental Mechanic – Dental Mechanic Diploma recognized by DCI.
• Multi Rehabilitation Workers – One and half year course of Multi Rehabilitation worker from recognized institute.
