Punjab Police has a broad array of specialized services, including the prevention and detection of crime, maintenance of law and order and the enforcement of the Constitution of India. Its headquarters are located at Jan Marg, Chandigarh.

Punjab Police has released notification for filling up 634 vacancies for the post of Civilian Support Staff.

• Forensics Officer – 24 Posts
• Assistant Forensics Officer – 150 Posts
• Computer/ Digital Forensics Officer – 13 Posts
• Information Technology Officer – 21 Posts
• Information Technology Assistant (Software) – 214 Posts
• Financial Officer – 11 Posts
• Assistant Financial Officer – 70 Posts

Punjab Police Selection Process will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT) & Document Scrutiny.

Eligibility : –

• Legal Officer – Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum of 55% marks and Minimum experience of 07 years.
• Assistant Legal Officer – Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum of 55% marks and Minimum experience of 02 years.
• Forensics Officer – Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science or equivalent and Minimum experience of 07 years.
• Assistant Forensics Officer – Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science or equivalent and Minimum experience of 02 years.
• Computer/ Digital Forensics Officer – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics and Communication with emphasis on Computer software and programming and Minimum experience of 12 years.
• Information Technology Officer – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics and Communication with emphasis on Computer software and programming and Minimum experience of 07 years.
• Information Technology Assistant (Software) – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Electronics and Communication with emphasis on Computer software and programming and Minimum experience of 02 years.
• Financial Officer – Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Finance and Minimum experience of 07 years.
