Assam Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Assam in India. A regular police force was initiated in Assam by the British after the Treaty of Yandaboo to maintain the law and order. It functions under the Department of Home Affairs, Assam. The Headquarters of Assam police is situated in state capital Dispur.

State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam Police has released notification for filling up 133 vacancies for the post of Field Assistant, Junior Assistant, Sub-Inspector of Statistics, Primary Investigator & Junior Artist.

Assam Police Vacancy Details : –

• Sub-Inspector of Statistics – 35 Posts
• Junior Assistant (HQ) – 12 Posts
• Junior Artist- cum Draftsman – 01 Post
• Primary Investigator/ Computor – 30 Posts
• Field Assistant – 55 Posts

Assam Police Selection Process will be based on Written Test.

Eligibility : –

• Sub-Inspector of Statistics – Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent with Mathematics / Statistics/ Economics as one of the subjects.
• Junior Assistant – Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce and Diploma in Computer.
• Junior Artist- cum Draftsman – Higher Secondary (10+2)or equivalent and diploma/certificate in fine Arts from recognized Art Institution.
• Primary Investigator/ Computor – Higher Secondary (10+2) examination passed in any stream with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subject.
• Field Assistant – H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from recognized Board with Mathematics as one of the subject. For more details Read Official Notification.
