Directorate Of Secondary Education (DSE Odisha) was formed under the Odisha Education Act 1953. The board controls and maintains all the necessary secondary education in the state of Odisha. Under this board various courses are offered to students for different occupations and to prepare the students for university.

Directorate Of Secondary Education (DSE Odisha) has released notification for filling up 11403 vacancies for the post of Initial Appointee Teachers.

• TGT Arts – 3308 Posts
• TGT Science (PCM) – 2370 Posts
• TGT Science (CBZ) – 1544 Posts
• Hindi Teacher – 1753 Posts
• Sanskrit Teacher – 1188 Posts
• Telugu Teacher – 22 Posts
• Physical Education Teacher – 1218 Posts

DSE Odisha Selection Process will be based on the Computer based test & interview.

Eligibility : –

• TGT Arts – Bachelor degree in arts/commerce or a shastri (sanskrit) degree from a recognized university with two school subjects from a recognized university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC Candidates) and Bachelor in education (B.Ed)/3 year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed from a NCTE Recognized Institution Or 4 year integrated BA/B.Ed from a NCTE Recognized Institution with two school subjects from a recognized university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates).
• TGT Science (PCM/CBZ) – Bachelor degree in Science, BE/B.Tech with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso here under) from a recognized university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates) and Bachelor in education (B.Ed)/3 year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed from a NCTE Recognized Institution Or 4 year Integrated B.Sc & B.Ed from a NCTE Recognized Institution with two school subjects from a recognized university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates).
• Hindi Teacher – Bachelor degree from a recognized university with hindi as one of the electives/ Optional/pass/honours subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates) and Hindi shikshan parangat from kendriya hindi sansthan, agra and B.H.Ed & B.Ed in hindi course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized university/institution.
• Sanskrit Teacher – Bachelor degree in sanskrit as one of the electives/optional/honours/pass subjects from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates) and shiksha shastri (sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized university/institution Or Shastri (sanskrit) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates) and shiksha shastri (sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized university/institution.
• Telugu Teacher – 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution and C.P.Ed/ B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed from a recognized board/university.
• Physical Education Teacher – Bachelor degree in arts having Telugu as a subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC Candidates) and Telugu B.Ed from a university/institution recognized by NCTE. For more details Read Official Notification.
