The Jammu and Kashmir Police or JKP, was established in 1873 and is the law enforcement agency, having primary responsibilities in law enforcement and investigation within the twenty two districts of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The department serves an area of 85,806 square miles (222,236 sq km) and a population of 12,548,926 people at the 2011 census.

Jammu & Kashmir Police (JK Police) has released notification for filling up 2700 vacancies for the post of Constable.

JK Police Constable Vacancy Details : –

• Constable (Male) – 1350 Posts.
• Constable (Female) – 1350 Posts.

JK Police Selection Process will be based on Physical standard, PET, PST and Written Examination.

Physical Endurance Test (PET) for JK Police Constable Vacancy : –
Long Race (For Male) – 1600 meters in 6 and 30 Minutes (six minutes thirty seconds).
Push ups (For Male) – 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)
Long Race (For Female) – 1000 meters in six minutes thirty seconds 6 1/2.
Short Put (4 Kg) (For Female) – 14 1/2 Feet in three attempt. (Read Official Notification)
