The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India. established in May 1982. WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library.

Eligibility : –
Project Fellow – Masters Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Social Science/ Environmental Sciences/ Statistics/Anthropology from a recognized University.
Project Assistant – Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Junior Research Fellow – Masters Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Social Science/Environmental Sciences/ Statistics/ Anthropology with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Research Assistant & Junior Technical Assistant – Bachelor Degree in any discipline related to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences from a recognized university.
Forensic Researcher – M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Genetics/Animal Genetics/ Life Sciences from recognized university with 60% aggregate marks.
Research Associate – Ph.D. Degree in the field of Biotechnology/Genetics/ Animal Genetics.
