Border Security Force (BSF) is the primary border defence organisation of India. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India, it was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December 1965, “for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with”. It is a Central Armed Police Force charged with guarding India’s land border during peacetime and preventing transnational crime.

Border Security Force (BSF) has released notification for filling up 281 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector, Head Constable & Constable.

BSF Vacancy Details : –

• Constable (Crew) – 130 Posts
• Head Constable (Workshop) – 19 Posts
• Head Constable (Engine Driver) – 64 Posts
• Head Constable (Master) – 52 Posts
• Sub Inspector (Workshop) – 02 Post
• Sub Inspector (Engine Driver) – 06 Posts
• Sub Inspector (Master) – 08 Posts

BSF Selection Process will be based on Written Exam. Checking of Testimonials/documents, Measurement of Physical Standard (PST) & Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Salary : –

• Sub Inspector – Pay scale Rs. 35,400/- to 1,12,400/- Level-6
• Head Constable – Pay scale Rs. 25,500/- to 81,100/- Level-4
• Constable – Pay scale Rs. 21,700/- to 69,100/- Level-3 (Read Official Notification)

Eligibility : –

• Constable (Crew) – Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and One year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP and Should know swimming.
• HC (Workshop) – Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and ITI Diploma in Motor Mechanic / Electrician /Machinist/ Carpentry/AC Technician/ Electronics and Plumbing from a recognized institution.
• HC (Engine Driver) – Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and Possessing llnd Class engine Driver Certificate.
• HC (Master) – Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and Serang Certificate.
• SI (Workshop) – Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Marine or Automobile Engineering.
• SI (Engine Driver) – 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University and First Class Engine Driver Certificate.
• SI (Master) – 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University and Second Class Master Certificate. For more details Read Official Notification.
