Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE Assam) is imparted through a number of pre-primary, primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools The Government of Assam has implemented free and compulsory education for students up to the age of 14. Schools in Assam are either state run or under the management of private organisations. The syllabus at primary schools is established by the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.

Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE Assam) has released notification for filling up 9536 vacancies for the post of Assistant Teacher.

DEE Assam Vacancy Details : –

• Assistant Teacher (LP) School – 7242 Posts
• Teacher (Science, Assamese & Manipuri) (UP) School – 2112 Posts

DEE Assam Selection Process : – The Selection of the candidates shall be strictly in order of merit considering the reservation for EWS/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PWD etc. and marks will be allocated as follows;

Eligibility : –

• Assistant Teacher of (LPS) school – Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002 and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education) and (b) passed in Assam TET for LPS.
• Assistant Teacher (UPS) – Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.
• Science Teacher – B. Sc. and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed.passed in Assam TET for UPS.
• Assamese Language Teacher – Graduate having Assamese as one of the subjects 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. or B. Ed. (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS.
• Manipuri Language Teacher – Graduate from the UGC recognized University having Manipuri as one of the subjects and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed or B. Ed. (Special Education) and passed in Assam TET for UPS. For more details Read Official Notification.

Age Limit : – Minimum & Maximum age limit is 18 to 40 years As on 01/01/2021. (Read Official Notification)
