Himachal Pradesh attained statehood on 25th January, 1971. Prior to this date, the function of Public Service Commission in respect of the civil services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh were being discharged by the Union Public Service Commission under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It was, therefore, incumbent on the State to have its own Public Service Commission.

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released notification for filling up 06 vacancies for the post of Process Engineer & Computer Programmer.

HPPSC Vacancy Details : –

• Process Engineer – 05 Posts
• Computer Programmer – 01 Post

HPPSC Selection Process will be based on Screening test/Preliminary Exam & Personality Test.

• Process Engineer – Pay scale Rs. 15,600/- to 39,100/-
• Computer Programmer – Pay scale Rs. 10,300/- to 34,800/- (Read Official Notification)

Eligibility : –

• Process Engineer – B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in any Engineering stream with Master Degree in Environmental Engineering from an Institute / University duly recognized by the Central / State Government / AICTE.
• Computer Programmer – B.E./B.Tech(Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology with programming as an essential component of the degree course)/MCA/’B’ or ‘C’ Level Course of NIELIT. OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Master’s Degree in Information Technology. For more details Read Official Notification.

Age Limit : – Minimum & Maximum age limit is 18 to 45 years As on 01/01/2021. (Read Official Notification)
