Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are a system of alternate schools for gifted students in India. They are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. JNVs are fully residential and co-educational schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with classes from VI to XII standard.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released notification for filling up 1616 vacancies for the post of Principal, Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) & Miscellaneous Category of Teachers.

NVS Vacancy Details : –

• Principal – 12 Posts
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – 397 Posts
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) – 683 Posts
• Trained Graduate Teacher TGT Third Language – 343 Posts
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers – 181 Posts

NVS Selection Process will be based on CBT & interview/Trade Test/Skill Test.

• Principal – Pay scale Rs. 78,800/- to 2,09,200/- Level-12
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – Pay scale Rs. 47,600/- to 1,51,100/- Level-8
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) – Pay scale Rs. 44,900/- to 1,42,400/- Level-7
• Trained Graduate Teacher TGT Third Language – Pay scale Rs. 44,900/- to 1,42,400/- Level-7
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers – Pay scale Rs. 44,900/- to 1,42,400/- Level-7 (Read Official Notification)

Eligibility : –

• Principal – Master Degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate and B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree and Persons having 15 years combined regular service as PGT.
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) – Master’s Degree from a recognized University in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and B. Ed or equivalent teaching degree.
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects with Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and B.Ed. Degree.
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers – Bachelors Degree with Music OR Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education OR Post Graduate Degree in Drawing and Painting, Fine Arts OR Bachelors Degree in Library Science. For more details Read Official Notification.
